By submitting to the WLZ National Poetry Month Competition, you agree that all work(s) submitted are your own original work, or work you own the rights to. By Submitting you agree that Word Lit Zone and Paradise Lost Publishing cannot be held liable for the following: copyright infringement, plagiarism, defamation of character, etc. Any and all legal issues and finances gained as a result of consultation, mediation, litigation, and/or court is the responsibility of you, the submitter.
WORD LIT ZINE INBOUND LISCENCING AGREEMENT
By submitting Your Work, you grant us the royalty-free, worldwide, license to:
- Publish Your Work in whole or part in any print media related to Word, including a periodical publication or anthology.
- Publish Your Work in whole or part in any online media related to Word, including the internet, social media, web series, and other electronic form.
- Distribute Your Work in whole or part by email or other electronic form.
- Reformat, modify, edit, print, copy, store, and use excerpts of Your Work for purposes of the publication and distribution described above.
That’s just fancy lawyer talk to cover all of our bases. If we launch an online version of Word, send out a newsletter, or something of the like, we have permission to use your words in whole or on part.
You may terminate this license with one month notice to us at: firstname.lastname@example.org. So that we can best respond to your request, include the following in the subject line: Termination Notice [Insert title of Your Work], Effective [Insert Date at least one month from date of email]. On termination of the license, Word will remove Your Work from our online media and will not print it in any future print publications. If a print publication is already underway at the time of termination, we may continue with the printing so as to not incur reprint costs. After termination we may keep copies of Your Work for the purposes of internal record-keeping. If you notice that we have not taken Your Work down, please contact us as there is likely a technical error. You agree that your only remedy for our failure to remove in a timely manner is to follow-up again and speak with us about the issue.
You represent and warrant that (a) you have the right to grant this permission; (b) Your Work does not violate any intellectual property or other rights of any third party; and (c) Your Work is not defamatory, libelous, obscene, or otherwise illegal.
As you know, we can’t control what others may do in copying or using Your Work from any electronic or print materials. You agree that we will not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from third party use of Your Work.
